How to create a QR code
- Enter a URL or short text in the Generate tab.
- Choose a size and error-correction level. Level M is a practical default.
- Select Generate QR, test the result with a second device, then download the PNG.
How to scan a QR code
Open the Read tab and allow camera access, or choose an image stored on your device. Check the decoded address before opening it, especially when the QR code came from an unknown source.
QR code privacy and safety
Generation and image decoding happen in your browser. The page still loads analytics, advertising, and the libraries listed above, which can receive ordinary technical data. A QR image is not encryption: never place passwords, private keys, or confidential personal data inside one.
